Hey fellow history teachers,
If you're like me, you're either enjoying a well-deserved break or counting down the days until you can. Either way, I've got something that might actually be useful.
Oak National Academy has put together some new resources for this history unit. Before you roll your eyes, hear me out:
They're free (yes, actually free)
They're adaptable (because we know one size doesn't fit all)
They're not the pandemic response with which you might associate Oak National
What you get:
Slide decks
Worksheets
Supplementary texts (surprisingly decent)
Quizzes Find them here: https://www.thenational.academy/teachers/programmes/history-secondary-ks4-edexcel/units
I've been using the slide decks for visuals and tweaking the tasks to fit my exam prep needs. It's saved me some late nights, which is always a win.
If you're interested, take a look when you have a moment. And if you use them, let us know what works and what doesn't. We're not after praise - honest feedback helps make these resources better for all of us.
No pressure, though. Enjoy your break first.
